Freight Acceptance Policy and Procedures
All safes arriving via freight carrier must be inspected at time of delivery. The packaging of the safe should be inspected for noticeable signs of damage such as tears in the box(s), heavy friction marks to the box(s), indentions, etc... If there are any signs of damages to the safe, large or small, must be noted on the delivery receipt before the delivery receipt is signed. If a safe arrives damaged at time of delivery, it is the customers right to refuse the damaged safe at the time of delivery. Customer's that notice any damages after the safe has been signed for and accepted will be repsonsible for contacting the freight carrier directly to discuss the damages and file a claim against the carrier. Steelwater Gun Safes ships all safes in the upright position only. Under no circumstances do we wrap our safes in plastic. Any safe that is not delivered in the upright position or wrapped in plastic should be subject to further inspection before signing the delivery receipt. The pallett and/or packaging material shall not be discarded until the package is fully opened, inspected, and found to be in good operating condition.
(1) If there is considerable damage to the product, you will need to refuse the shipment at time of delivery and contact a customer service representative at (866) 278-8022 immediately. When contacting the customer service representative please notify them of the refusal of shipment and ask them to ship a replacement product. Please note that if the product is damaged at time of delivery the freight driver cannot deny you the ability to refuse acceptance of the damaged product.
(2) If there are visible amounts of damage to the packaging make sure the safe is inspected and the damage is notated specifically on the delivery receipt. If the delivery receipt is signed with no notations of damage, the customer will be liable to make all claims against the shipper and removes all liability of damage from Steelwater Gun Safes.
(3) Unsatisfactory returns will be accepted within 14 days of receiving the product. The product must be returned in the original packaging and secured properly with the necessary packaging material to ensure no damage on the return. Charges will be due for the shipping to the location and from the location back to the distribution point. Charges may also apply if the product is returned not in the original condition. A restocking fee of 15% will also apply to all returned products. These charges will be determined by Steelwater Gun Safes but will be fair and considerate to the buyer.

Free Shipping Terms
"Curb Side Delivery with Liftgate" service definition:1 person & liftgate. The freight carrier driver will deliver the freight at curb side only with a liftgate. Once the freight is off the truck the customer is responsible to get the freight into its location.
Currently Steelwater Gun Safes utilizes UPS Parcel, UPS Freight, & R&L Carriers and may reserve the right to change carriers without notice.
Free Shipping is offered to most continental U.S. areas. Some remote areas such as islands, toll bridge access areas, union states, ferry tolls, etc. may be subjected to additional charges. Additional charges may also apply to Liftgate service, residential delivery, etc... where services are not available or the charges are higher than normal. If any additional charges apply, the customer will be notified before shipping and at this time the buyer may choose to cancel the purchase.
Free Shipping from R&L Carriers/UPS Freight is a curbside Delivery with a Liftgate. R&L Carriers/UPS Freight will call to set up a delivery appointment. A 48-52 foot freight truck will get as close to the curb of the destination address as possible and then lower the freight down to the ground. The Customer must be responsible to make arrangments to have the safe moved inside the delivery address. |

"Threshold Delivery" service definition: 1 person, liftgate, placement into first available covered ground floor area. Service will be performed on direct points by a R&L driver.

All in stock orders are processed and shipped within 24-48 business hours but may be delayed if special options or specifications are needed!
Pistol Safes, Dehumidifiers, or Gun Racks usually will be shipped via UPS Parcel and may have express options. Extra fees may be added to parcel shipping prices due to the extra packaging needed to minimize damage while being handled through the parcel delivery.

Our Free Shipping freight deliveries are by appointment only and are a Lift Gate Curbside Service (unless other shipping option is paid for). Meaning, the freight company will get their truck as close to the curb of the delivery address and then lower it to the ground. The customer is responsible to make arrangements to have the safe moved inside the delivery address. Under no circumstances will the freight company deliver the safe inside the delivery address. White Glove Delivery, Threshold delivery, and Guaranteed Services is a service that Steelwater Gun Safes offers, if interested please call Toll-Free:(866)278-8022 to get your quote. Customer will be responsible for all freight charges to and from the delivery address on any order canceled after it has been processed and shipped. Freight and Storage charges will apply to orders that have to be held at a delivery terminal due to customer not being able to take delivery.
Steelwater Gun Safes reserves the right to authorize the return of any freight found undeliverable where the customer, after repeated attempts, is found to be unavailable for contact. Customer will be responsible for all freight charges to and from the attempted delivery address as well as a 15% restocking fee.
